Right, 2.5GHz, not 2.53GHz.

If Taylor is anything like Turion is today

Turion today is shipping at 2.2GHz. (ML-40)

A 2.4GHz 35W part is due in Q3 (ML-42) along with the 2.2GHz 25W part (MT-40).

So, if they can do 2.4GHz at 35W, then DC 2GHz at 35W should also be possible, based on 2 speedgrades from top for 50% power savings previously described. And that's WITH 64-bit.

xbitlabs.com

a majority of Taylor notebooks will be sold with 32-bit XP Home at launch.

But they can be upgraded to 64-bit Longhorn. Yonah laptops are dead-enders from launch.

eracer, So 3.6GHz is it until next year for Intel Xeon. Good news for Opteron.

A 3.8 Ghz Irwindale is scheduled to launch next quarter.
