Well, my point is that the Bush administration did not go into Iraq for the altruistic reasons it said it did, so they will leave exactly when it suits their fancy, not according to the best scenario for the Iraqis. I don't think a lot of Americans realize that things we take for granted, like electricity and plumbing, were very damaged not only by Saddam near the end of his reign but by our bombs as well. And from what I've read, most Iraqis are furious because we have not repaired much of the infrastructure we destroyed, and it has now been a couple of years! Imagine how irritated you would be without electricity, and a sick child or something!
