CPST .. Shares of Capstone Turbine fell nearly 8% in pre-open trading after the maker of microturbine systems said late Tuesday it would file its annual report late. The company was seeking a 15-day extension as it was not able to complete the assessment of internal accounting controls required by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. The company said it expects to report a fiscal 2005 loss of $40 million, or 47 cents a share, vs. a loss of $47.7 million, or 58 cents a share in the year-earlier period. The stock was last down 9 cents, or 7.6%, at $1.09 in Instinet.
