Isn't that the truth. The difference is that the conspiracy theorists are usually seen as kooks by the mainstream masses, whereas in the Middle East, due to the lack of opposing viewpoints and truly free press, conspiracies are given the same credentials as true news.

Even that's not true. The conspiracy theorists in this country refuse to read or listen to the mainstream press. Therefore, their views face no opposition.
