No, I'm not really a granola person. Granola is really very calorie dense, and can be quite annoyingly chewy. I do really like muesli mixed up with various fruit-flavored soy yogurts to soften everything up, with sliced bananas on top, but that is another story entirely. I usually don't have time to spend a half hour chewing my food in the morning. I know it sounds sort of conservative or something, but I really like raisin bran the very best of all cereals.

This weekend I went to the country and bought a flat of very delicate and flavorful unsprayed strawberries picked that morning, which I froze one layer at a time on cookie sheets and then dumped into freezer bags. Now for several months I can enjoy them in smoothies and milk shakes with that wonderful fresh taste and all their antioxidants still going strong! In a week or two, raspberries, and later boysenberries and blackberries. I wish I had a bigger freezer!
