I recently learned (again, I'd learned it once and forgotten) how to do the internal footnotes in a paper. I remember when I was in high school how they all had to be typed (ugh)- actually typing in general was horrible, because white out could only get you so far... We live in amazing times. Maybe people always think that? Suicide bombers are so depressing, frustrating, horrifying. What to do? On the one hand I can understand their frustration with huge systems or events they feel they cannot control or influence in any other way, on the other hand I am horrified by what they do and (of course) wish they would find alternate means. They need a new meme. I hope someone is working on that, because a new idea for them to embrace would be more powerful than weaponry and force (imo).
