"I was not confessing. I was joking."

So you say.

"I think you followed me here..."

You ego is leading you astray again.

I came here because someone pointed me to the thread header (I'm not sure why, but perhaps because the battle that attracted Dave might present candidates for thread moron nominations) and what Solon said there intrigued me somewhat.

I noticed Joe's post to you about whether Christian doctrine actually does frown upon accumulation of wealth. Though Joe's posts were more thoughtful and interesting, I responded to yours because of the implied assertion of the article you posted that a few words written two thousand years ago were definitive on the issue. My point in the post linked below was that those words must be considered in the context of the times and that doctrine can change as conditions change and knowledge grows.

To this you responded by suggesting that because Jesus was considered a radical in his day, that he would also be a radical today (as if it was being on the fringe that is virtuous, regardless of the ideas espoused). I ignored the sarcasm in your noting the "irony" of that and offered a thoughtful response to the "he was a radical then, so" notion as well as to the sermon you linked.

It now appears that, much to my chagrin, that post was merely another inane comment made for the purposes of trolling. I'm sorry you wasted my time.
