FWIW: I bought a mutual fund that specializes in commodities, but will also broaden itself into certain basic industrial companies if the opportunities exist. It is international in scope and has performed reasonably well. I got tired of trying to track coal companies all over the world, so I just parked some money in it for a few years. Just an idea for a fund you might want to look into. I'm not too big on mutual funds in general and I only own RSNRX and EUROX (which is a Eastern European speciality fund.) Good Luck.
