I can understand the political implications of what he has said, but unless he points to some significant item that an engineer can take interest in, what he says means squat to me.

Only professional demolition appears to account

Well, I did give you two choices to how professionals would have done it.

(a) by the use of explosives only. Or

(b) by weakening the structure first and using minimal explosives and/or a fire to initiate the collapse.

What's your best guess?
