How long do you put off the inevitable, how many great kids do you sacrifice? I don't think we can wait til 'the powers that be' come around. I think they have to be forced. That's why I signed Conyer's petition. When you read about the student protests during the Vietnam War....they started at may be one or two schools at first......the schools most radicalized. And eventually it spread from school to school. I think the killing of 4 students in OH woke up the general public to what was happening. The war was real....the students were real.......and young guys were getting killed if not in Vietnam, on college campuses. It became clear that the gov't wanted the protests to stop..........to silence the people just as the GOPers tried to silence Conyers today. That was the ultimate catalyst that caused the protests to spread to everyone everywhere in this country..............people began to see the power in protest and took to the streets. Something similar to that has to happen now. This is our country and if they are doing things that are not in our best interest and are hurting us, then we need to let them know.......clearly and in no uncertain terms.......that it must stop....and it must stop now. They've got to get that this war is unacceptable! 1,2,3,4 we don't want your frigging war! No. 1,2,3,4 we don't want your fucking war! That's better. ;~)
