The economic trouble is going to happen regardless of whether or not you own gold. If someone is going to prosper during the carnage, it may as well be me.

History shows gold does better in deflationary times more so than in inflation. To date, you are right, gold has rallied as part of the Fed's "reflation." But that's going to change.

The PoG rally from late 2001-2003 was based on dollar weakness. It's too soon to know if it's a trend, but it appears to be changing.
