Have you used System restore lately?

There's a documented problem with Windows Update if System Restore was used to a restore point previous to the date that SP 1 was initially installed.

I have a similar problem, except I don't even get a window opening. I click on the Install button and nothing happens.

I'm running Windows 98 SE. I tried adding the Windows Update page to my trusted sites but it didn't help.
