Clinton had a 24-7 Al Qaida desk. if he'd have gotten the memo Bush got on 8-6 that Al Qaida was about to hijack, he'd have given Richard Clarke the greenlight to lock the country down. So 9-11 would not have happened. At least probably not. But Bush did absolutely nothing, Rice ignored it too. Some security advisor huh? What did Rice know about security? Zilch. But she had colored skin so she was given the top job as a showhorse. if Powell had been security chief he'd have acted. Anyone would have. You or I would have. One call to the FBI saying secure our airports.
