Your whole post amounts to "America's center of gravity is to the right of Europe's." and supporting argument for it.

Nothing about the fact that America's center of gravity is to the right of Europe's is an relevant reply to "I would not consider the Democrats to be a "center-right party", or the GOP to be a "far right" party. Of course that all depends on where you place the center. It is a very subjective thing."
