"I draw the line when the cord is cut.
Prior to that time the fetus is the option of the person carrying the fetus."

So, an abortion at any time up to or during birth, or killing the baby after birth as long as the cord hasn't been cut, is OK? That's an ... um ... interesting perspective.

On a related note, if someone other than the mother takes a deliberate, malicious action that causes the death of a fetus, are they guilty for murder? Why or why not?

TP?

"It would be interesting to hear the "a dead body is just meat" and "a fetus is an extension of the mother until the cord is cut" viewpoints on this case."

Would it be OK to bury the mother with the viable fetus still inside, say at 8months and 3 weeks? What if the father objects?
