It erodes our civil liberties when we hold an American citizen in custody for almost three years without charges and without access to legal representation. Effectively suspending habeas corpus. That was not Congress. That was BUSH. (See Esam Hamdi’s story). There is much more and you know it. I predict Bush will have the highest approval rating in history (he already has on 9/12/2001 since approval wasn't measured in '41 for FDR) and the lowest. He is well on his way. The record holders: Harry Truman (23%), Richard Nixon (24%), Jimmy Carter (28%), and the George HW Bush (29%). Bush at 42% today ... and falling.
