But it's a good one. And very apt. Most history buffs will remind us about Smoot-Hawley, and even retaliatory trade barriers from other countries, but don't forget trade wars over foreign exchange, as well, and also strong anti-immigration laws.

Every time we as a world get globalization going, the anti-globalization forces start shrieking louder and louder, and doing whatever they can to sabotage it.

They don't understand wealth creation, and despite the fact that their own eyes tell them different, they believe the people who tell them that they're getting poorer.

Luddites smashing the mills. I think the Internet has made it impossible this time, though. I think we've finally broken free.
