quid: I'm not sure what how to frame those 2.5 million events, but the 48 cases in Risperdal patients doesn't seem very high to me. Risperdal has been around for 10 years or so, and I'm thinking maybe 10 million prescriptions a year by now. Don't know how this translates into number of patients. Anyway, I guess I'm not going to worry about it...

re pituitary tumors and anti-psychotics
I'm wondering if this could could be such a thing where people with undiagnosed pituitatry tumors have abnormal mental signs and get prescribed an anti-psychotic and later get the tumor diagnosed. This could be partly(or even wholly) responsible for an apparent association.
