Perjury is against the law. Clinton perjured himself. He was disbarred for it. He was impeached for his perjury. There is one standard, Clinton violated it.

Democrats made compromises that do not meet high ethical standards to keep Clinton in office. If Republicans had the same level of ethics in the seventies, President Nixon could have weathered the storm and completed his second term.
