I've been watching various Cocteau films on DVD from Netflix. That's when I learned that Sacre de Printemps no longer jars my sensibilities, especially with Nijinsky jumping around, it made sense in that context.

Living in DC with so many museums makes it easier to get accustomed to the "shock of the new."

But I still prefer rock music to classical, and I am keeping up with the newer stuff with no problem. There is a new radio format called Jack (or Bob or Dave or Nine) that is an eclectic mix of oldies and new stuff that I like, and I am downloading, although I don't have an iPod yet.
