"If all religious people of all religious persuasions thought like Mr. Danforth--"

Most everyone rational draws a line somewhere. We, as a society, must decide whose line we're going to accept as THE line. Wherever the line ends up (and I think it is rare that it ends up at one extreme or the other), having one is usually better than not having one.

My bubble gum wisdom for the day. ;-)

Right. But it's nice to hear from Mr. Danforth- since being against absolutists who want to impose on everyone else tends to get interpreted as anti-religious. I'm totally comfortable with Mr. Danforth and his religious beliefs.
