I agree with your assessment, but what power do independents have over change in government? They are not organized, nor have any representation in the House or Senate. I support democrats now only to try to bring this swing to the extreme right back to center.

Look what happened to Ross Perot, and to Ralph Nader. I still blame Nader's ego for 2000.
