Since I've already explained the reasoning for why the charts are adjusted and it doesn't jive with what you want, I thought you'd already left. But here's another person who thinks stockcharts does it right (look at the comments on Bristol Myers):

thestreet.com

Anyway, thanks for telling me you're leaving, I'm feeling very assured now . . . (but just in case, you're being ignored now).

Actually, this is not worth getting mad about (you're unignored but since I don't really look here much, it doesn't matter anyway).

If the site doesn't serve your purposes, find something that does. A lot of people think the way that stockcharts changes the data after a split, distribution etc is correct (I've given you examples and stockcharts sure isn't going to go argue with say John Murphy or Gary B Smith!) and so the method will most probably not change. To keep the data around for multiple distributions etc over time would require too much sacrifice in speed and performance in chart creation and data correction hassles for the data group and since the feature is already deemed unnecessary, I doubt you'll get what you want. So find something else and good luck and sorry it doesn't fit your needs. Hopefully you will have better luck someplace else - and if you decide to stick around, stick around. Ask about the 15 minute delay, it might be an exchange requirement. You never know, you might actually get some things your way. After all, the site is doing something right since you stuck with it (hopefully you didn't stick with it purely out of laziness!).
