Well said.

Some on this thread have tried to misrepresent my position (or opinion) as being pro-abortion--as though I did not appreciate the weightiness and risk to the mother--nor feel concern for the timing of the abortion of the unwanted zygote or fetus. In fact, I have always condemned indiscriminate or thoughtless abortion--by which I mean some late terms abortions which should have been terminated (for instance) by a morning after pill.

Sometimes one regrets that people have certain rights because of the idiotic choices they make. But is is a question of human rights and LEGAL persons. I cannot support the removal of a mother's right to her own body and personal choices (which is what it amounts to) without acknowledging the argument that I have no rights to MY body or choices.

I am not prepared to support a return to a society where rights are not axiomatic, but are lent by kingly or Priestly favor.

Thus, I believe the social goal is to educate people to become more thoughtful in how they engage in intercourse--and in how they deal with the consequences.
