Maybe things are worse than we think. FreedomFries' proposal to start bringing troops home next year is supposedly totally compatible with the Administration's publicly stated goals. Therefore, it's a 'peace with honor' or 'withdrawal with honor' or 'military mission accomplished' FIGLEAF.

Is this a Rove tactic to provide a number of options for the admin to get the heck out of Iraq?

Here's the odd logic:

1. Admin's goals of removing WMDs, brutal dictator and bringing democracy to Iraq have already been accomplished. Of course there never were any WMDs but why go to that impeachable place.

2. Democracy is what the Iraqi people make it AND the military has done all it can do to lay the foundation (!) for politicians to work on.

3. Therefore, it's time to remove the military (!) as their work is done.

Jeepers. Could this be a Rovian plan? Could the situation in Iraq be so bad that even the admin wants an option to GET OUT?

It's highly suspicious that the twit who wanted to rename commissary food is now standing with Kucinich saying: come home troops, you've done everything you can.
