There must be some kind of trade barriers in Italy preventing foreign washing machines, because, the ones I see are totally junk! It literally takes 2 hours to wash a load of laundry with these small Italian machines, and they cost 800-1,000 euros. It took me about a month to notice GM would crush the Italian market for Refrigerators, Stoves, Freezers, and Washers and Dryers when I first arrived.

You know another product we take for granted in the U.S. which is far superior? Windows. The ones in a typical house in Europe are stupid. Hasn't anyone heard of turning knobs or sliders which don't stick out into the room! ;-)

We must have a very competitive window and door industry as compared to Europe.
