medicaid. Pennsylvania, Ohio and Mississippi have either cut benefits or enrollments.

pa. needs to cut some benefits. they still give support to families of disabled children regardless of income. We have millionaires collecting medicaid allowances for their disabled child. same with families making over $100,000. I see no need for general public to support through medicaid to families who have incomes and ability to pay for medical coverage. Rendell refused to close this loop hole in pa. yet blames bush for cut backs. I think rendell should get serious about how he spends the money before looking to Washington.

the middle class benefits from Medicaid, either directly through nursing home payments for their elderly parents.

this is the biggest rip off to the general public. It is not only the middle class but upper middle and rich who move money from mom and dad and put them on the state medicaid program.

What makes them entitled to keep mom and dad's money and we support them for the next ten to twenty years. To fix medicaid laws should be set that if at any time with x decades mom and pop go on medicaid and there was a transfer of money to their children then the children will be responsible for support.

1/3 of all expenses for medicaid in Penn. is elderly. I wonder how many of those are not really qualified for medicaid if they couldn't transfer wealth to their children?

pa state political coverage this morning was on medical expense, medicaid... We have 1.7 million people in pa on medicaid and i believe they said it is expected to increase by 35% within next 10/15 years since we have second oldest population in country.(explosion expected in nursing home care and prescriptions.

Out of the billions spent in the state on medicare pa picks up about half of the expense and the federal gov the other half.
