I saw the book, yes, but never read it. Will definitely take a look at the website though - thanks.

C-SPAN and Ehrenreich, mostly not archived anymore:

one transcript, 1989, but BookNotes is working on getting
all past booknotes archived as internet streamed video:

Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America
from June 3, 2001
Author Barbara Ehrenreich discusses her book about the difficulty of living adequately in America on low-wages. In 1998, Ms. Ehrenreich left her Florida home to become one of the working poor to see if she could secure adequate housing and food on her wages. She took a number of low-wage jobs, such as Walmart sales clerk, waitress, hotel maid, and so on. She talks about some of her year-long experiences, persons she worked with, and hopes for changes in the future.

Additionally "Encore BookNotes", as recently as July 10, 2004:

Fear of Falling: The Inner Life of the Middle Class
Encore Booknotes from July 10, 2004
More Information
Barbara Ehrenreich was a guest on Booknotes in 1989 to discuss her book "Fear of Falling: The Inner Life of the Middle Class." In her book, Ms. Ehrenreich talks about the U.S. middle class and what she views as a selfishness on their part when it comes to wealth and power in the country.

PS Luckily it has been easy to "tape" (capture) the
internet-streaming of C-SPAN for some 3-4 years.

PPS Ehrenreich also toured europe then and "it had a big
effect" on many.
