Durbin was somewhat hyperbolic, but most people around the world believe we have people in Guantanamo we picked up with little reason, that we are holding in a secret, unmonitored gulag, and often subjecting to treatment that some would consider torture. These people have simply "disappeared" as far as their families are concerned, have apparently no legal stratus or rights, and according to our own government may be held forever. Many of these people were "sold" to us by locals in Afghanistan. Turn it around and consider what YOU'D feel if Americans were being held in say, Iran under the same conditions. America shouldn't be running concentration camps.
