Hi Nadine, I bought it direct. I've gotten a bit tired of counting down those minutes/hours in auction sites. Funny thing, it seems like most of the time the price at auction sites is close to what you would pay new anyway. At least for the things I've been interested in.

I usually do something like this.. google.com
to get a good idea of the price range I'm looking at, then select one of my favorite sites and buy it if the price is close. Everyone doesn't ship to overseas FPO addresses so that limits my site selection quite a bit. I slammed one mattress website via email for not shipping to an FPO address a while back. Told them it's no wonder WalMart is taking over the world.

If Americans want to do something positive for overseas military members, give internet sites allot of grief for not shipping to FPO addresses. It doesn't cost them an extra dime, except the cost of setting up their address systems properly. Amazon is making a ton of money overseas by having a great reputation for fast delivery to FPO addresses. Ditto for WalMart, KBToys and Overstock.

By the way, I never heard back from that mattress companies customer service rep. ;-)
