In every scientific poll I've seen, the percentage of gay people in the population of humans has hovered around 10%. It's been consistently that way. My own belief is that it's more environment than genetic

Then wouldn't the percentage vary significantly by culture? Do the Japanese, Danish, Greek, Yemeni and Zulu people have a generally equal percentage of gays, or does one culture produce more than another?

In every scientific poll I've seen, the percentage of gay people in the population of humans has hovered around 10%. It's been consistently that way. My own belief is that it's more environment than genetic, but I don't rule out genes. Like I've said before, some people are fat because they have bad genes. Others are fat because they eat too much. Similarly, some people are gay because of the environment they grew up in or the lifestyle choices they've made. Others may be gay because their genes make them predisposed to it.

I don't agree. Fat people can get thin and stay thin. Gay people who try to play it straight often end up like the Gov. of NJ or the Mayor of Spokane. Plus, have you ever wondered why the 10% figure is so consistent whether a society is homophobic or not? I think the evidence points towards genetics, not environmental.......which is pretty unfortunate for those who are gay. I mean, they have taken a lot of crap for something they can't control.
