A president who cares about energy independence leads on the issue and uses his political capitol to make sure it happens. Ironically, we are now ready for it after many years of gas gouging, oil wars, Texas energy corruption, Saudis blowing up the WTC and Bushies pressing for less conservation. Detroit has also gotten badly burned following the Bushie gas guzzlers down that road. So now we new leadership we can really make headway. But first we need Bush-Cheney and Big Oil out of our government.
