O'Neill did not organizae the smearvets, he was a front man used by the Bush-Rove-DElay smear campaign operatives, the same guys who ran the McCain smears. And it was all done with Rove's overlording. It had to have been. Rove is a control freak and specialist on smears and dirty tricks campaigns. O'Neill didn't even know Kerry in 'Nam. He had nothing to say from first-hand knowledge. And he's been a tool of the GOP dirty tricksters ever since 1971. Yes O'Neil irrationally hated Kerry. Why? Jealousy. Because Kerry helped end the war, got more medals than O'Neill and became a top senator. O'Neil meanwhile remained a forgotten oil lawyer for the Bushies in Houston. How much money did O'Neill make on his book of lies? With that scabrous racist Corsi as his co-writer? Not a single statement of fact in that entire book.
