OK, let's see how many College Republicans and young Republicans are persuaded by this ANALysis to enlist and go fight in the frontlines...

And just in case they forget in the midst of all celebrating, Operation Yellow Elephant volunteers will remind the College Republicans of this on Friday! :-)

The Gulf War was "worth it". Why? Because Bush's own father did exactly what GW should have done, that is work with the international community to set things up and be ready to take care of things afterward, then let (mostly) our troops do the actual military removal.

What did GW do instead? Said "my way or the highway" and "we'll do it ourselves". Bad mistake. GW relied on Halliburton to run the aftermath, along with hundreds of other selfish profiteers, all taking advantage of the gold rush at our expense, with almost zero Arab-speaking allies, no UN, no NATO and except for the Brits only a smattering of help from here and there.

Worse, to invade, Bush had to pull most of our assets away from tracking down Al Qaida, so they are still alive and well.

Also, Bush could have waited six months and let the UN inspections continue but he jumped the gun. Why he was in such a rush we are now discovering. Maybe it was oil greedy or timing the war to steal the next election, but Bush and Cheney had a real blood lust to invade Iraq.

Whatever their excuses, GW made a grave mistake. It really is absurd and awful now that the US alone is occupying the country of Iraq, and that GW is unwilling to discuss any time table for withdrawing. Like colin Powell wanred GW, "if you break it you own it". GW broke it.
