re: I don't think that we should have created a program like SS in the first place, but now that we have it I suppose something like Bush's "progressive indexing" might be a way to go. Or we could cut off benefits when income is over 10 times the poverty level. If there is some reason against that particular level we could pick another one, I'm just tossing it out quickly. I haven't put a lot of thought in to the specific cut off point. Give it some thought, put it out there. What the hell. John
