The comparison isn't with "Soviet gulags or the Nazi concentration camps". The comparison is what the US has stood for in the past. Torture used to be a taboo for this country; now, with this administration it's a matter of degree, a "nuance" if you like. Hardly Reagan's "Shining City on a Hill"; we're down in the gutter with the rest of them. If you can't see that then go "nuance" yourself. You are part of the problem. John
