Do you see the threshold for a human rights violation being identical for prisoners serving out a sentence and combat prisoners of uncertain term from whom you need to gain intelligence?

Are you a fan of "24"? I never watch it, but apparently there is always a deadline before something horrible happens and lots of torture.

That's Hollywood.

Do coercive interrogative techniques work, or do they produce inherently unreliable information?

Simple question.

I can tell you that the received wisdom of the US justice system is that coercion produces inherently untrustworthy information. In other words, what works in Hollywood doesn't work in real life.
