I think a personal note to the soldiers working at Gitmo would have been appropriate, but alas.......it was not to be. Perhaps he could do that when he goes down on the inevitable "fact finding" trip? I won't hold my breath.

His voice quaking and tears welling in his eyes, the No. 2 Democrat in the Senate also apologized to any soldiers who felt insulted by his remarks.

Then along with being a seditionist, he's also a fool. If I ever happen to meet X Senator Durbin, I'll compare his floor speeches to Adolf Hitler's and see whether he is insulted.
