Kerry was on the Cambodian border on Xmas Eve 1968 as proved by his journal. At most, he exaggerated a little bit. But it was the truth, not a lie. The LA Times investigation also proved this. O'Neill was caught lying by the press when he protested that none of the swiftvets were in Cambodia, that it was illegal. O'Neill forgot that he's boasted to Nixon that he was Cambodia. The swifties were the taxi boats for the SpecOps missions to Cambodia. Kerry was there 3-4 times according to very honest biographer Doug Brinkley.
