Factory farming produces a product that causes pollution and disease Living causes pollution and disease. You have to say more than that, I think, to make a viable case. Whether eating meat is or is not desirable from a health standpoint is, I think, still a matter of unresolved discussion among nutritionists. As to whether the government shoudl ban products that are bad for you, we happen to live in a society where people are still entitled to choose to do things that are harmful to them. Granted, the government keeps narrowing the corridors of freedom, but they still do exist. Do you really want to give Bush and the Republican Congress the right to ban anything they think is harmful? I didn't think so.
