Because Gitmo has so many people down there nearly all the time, and is pretty visible, I think things are OK there, and in fact, from the looks of things, better than most any prison in the world. I think we have to really think of the folks who are guarding these creeps who would willingly kill any Americans, Christians or Jews. The very same guards who have lives outside the Military (it appears that several of them are National Guard)...and the very same guards who take abuse themselves from the prisoners and from so many on the outside, both America and worldwide. I really am serious about my question...."should we keep a prison camp at Gitmo or anyplace else....?" or kill them before we think about putting them in prison? or turning them back to the country of their origin? or just not capturing them at all? I still haven't seen ANYone speak to that question. It's easier to complain if there is even a speck of question about how they are treated, and especially easy when no one knows if there was really "an FBI agent with no name" who did complain of what he/she saw "a time or two"......After what I found last night, honestly trying to search for any info, I am doubly questioning if there ever was such an FBI agent. It appears very easy for anyone to say something, whether it is true or not, and have it spread like wildfire.... After seeing some of the articles Mike found yesterday on some of our own prisons, and of other prisons in the world, I really despair. Perhaps we would all feel better if non-publicity hounds in the Senate and House (is that an oxymoron?) of both parties, went with various media in tow, on a couple of surprise runs down there to see what the situation was....
