The mineral rights on almost all of the land around here is either owned by the railroads or a college out east. I forget which one. Very little land around here has the mineral rights attached.

Yep, I own the mineral rights. I wish my grandfather had bought the mineral rights to the mountain next to his farm in Oregon. He had a shot at it for $10k and passed. It was full of uranium, over $5 million worth.
