"Why'd you change your name?

That is an odd question when we are using pseudonyms. But not odd that you would try to make some petty point about it.

I have been asked in a non-petty way by more than one person. I noticed that we now have permissions to change our own pseudonyms once in 12 months. I like being able to do that so I thought about a change for about 5 seconds and then changed it.

I was also asked in a non-petty way what it means. The response is that it means whatever I decide it means at any given moment. A jewel is perceived differently depending on the perspective and the eye of the beholder. Yet, always precious and a beautiful thing for those with eyes to see and the ability to appreciate.

A gem is such a precious stone and when it is in its uncut or rough form, the essential quality may not be apparent to the casual observer. In other words not available for those who are ignorant of (or chose to ignore) the finer things in life.

"Were you embarrassed?"

petty indeed.

Not at all embarrassed and not surprised that you would respond to thoughtful consideration with pettiness.
