The +500 tick 50 and 200 DMA is recent market development, which
started in 2001. Even in the roaring 1999 the tick moving average
was +100. Also, blocks of +100,000 on Dow is recent stuff. Lately
these changed to +250,000, to +460,000 to +1,000,000 at the
time the market stalls or is being rushed up on +1500 tick.
This compares to normal 1-min blocks of 3,000 to 20,000.
The closing imbalances (i.e., dumping high volume after close)
have been in excess of 20,000,000 blocks lately
