Not true. Kerry only voted for the war powers with the clear proviso that Bush keep his promise and only go to war as a last resort with a full coalition and UN approvals, also taking the time to prepare for the peace to better protect our troops. Bush ignored all those stipulations and rushed in unprepared. It's not about yes or no, it's about HOW. If Bush had done what his father did during the Gulf War we wouldn't be in this mess today. But Bush ignored his father's warnings too. James Baker, Powell, they were all ignored.

The war powers vote was a perfect example of damned if you do, damned if you don't. The correct response was inbetween. Then Bush ran dishonest ads calling Kerry a flip-flopper. The truth is Kerry was 100% right on Iraq all along, just maybe not right to trust Bush.
