"At the stage of an egg, there is Nothing to offend unless one is religious."

I've avoided so far getting into your silly word games with greg, but I have to say your statement above is an absurd misrepresentation of the religious view of the issue (as if all religious people hold the same view, which is also ridiculous, but another issue altogether). I have never heard anyone, religious or not, suggest that an "egg" is a person in need of protection from being aborted. Removal of an egg, for whatever reason one might do so, is not an abortion and to suggest that anyone thinks it is one is idiotic, manipulative or both.

I get it, except for your penchant for arguing that other people in this discussion are concerned about eggs.

"As an aside--I think living life as a human being has everything to do with having a mind. If the brain or nervous system never develops or if it ceases to function--it is only gratuitous to call it human existence.

Then we are pointed at another line, being how much of a brain or nervous system qualifies one for the personhood club. Is a genius more of a person than someone with an IQ of 80? On measures of compassion, I certainly do not see that correlation. We can surmise that reasoning ability is reduced as IQ is lessened but that is about all we know, and it doesn't seem to offer any evidence of what you are suggesting.
