Re: Dell is also aggressively pricing the toner for its new printer at $65 per 2,000 pages.

I have had a brother HL-1440 for a couple of years now. It's worked flawlessly.

Toner is $38 for the 3,000 page cartridge and $52 for the 6,000 page cartridge. Shipping from NewEgg adds $5.

Gary,
Hi!!

RE: "Dell is going to screw everybody,"

"Dell's laser is a disruptive price,"

From the Annual DELL report I just received:

"Our growth in printing and imaging represents the most successful new-product entry in DELL history, and is the latest example of how prices drop and customer value increases when we enter a product segment. Less than two years after introducing our first printers, we accounted for almost 12 % of US printer demand. Printing and imaging revenue last year reached nearly $1.3 billion."

"The most successful new-product entry in DELL history..." Historically speaking.... :o)

Someday DELL will own it all...

Best, Kemble
