Perhaps some creative sentencing is in order? Strip him of medicare benefits and social security and put him on the street.

"I suppose it's the best we can do." Our system has never worked on a purely vengeful, punitive, or even reconciliatory measure. The best we can hope for is that society will establish for itself resolution with respect to crimes against humanity and its members. So, even though we can not even the debt with heinous criminals, we must continue to let them know that when caught they are on the hook to us for whatever life remains to be lived. In so doing, we reaffirm our support for the noble and our intolerance for the despicable.
