This and the marijuana ruling --- where they stretched the Commerce Clause to cover anything and everything, non-commercial actions that don't ever cross State lines (as Thomas said: "there is nothing stopping the federal government from banning swap meets and bake sales now....") --- have expanded the power of the federal government to *gargantuan proportions*.

If we are going to IGNORE the plain language of the Constitution like this, then why bother to pretend reverence to it at all?

The law is now ANYTHING the federal bureaucracy says it is, there are NO States rights anymore, and individual freedoms are on the endangered list.

Mad Cow McCain probably will-since he's laying it all on the line to preserve Chuckie Schmuck and Smilin' Joe Biden's FILIBUSTERS.

The courts CAN still be fixed. But the Mad Cow needs to be deep pastured...

This is the worst ruling the supreme court has made in years. I haven't read anybody anywhere say this is a good thing.

One of the regular socialists on this thread is actually thrilled with the idea. I am sure he would be ecstatic when they come snatch his property for the "common good".
