To my mind, the big story continues to be that gold appears to have divorced itself from just being a euro surrogate. That doesn't mean there won't be any more nasty corrections along the way. There will be. But the groundwork is being laid for a huge launch in gold, which will probably commence when the market decides that the Fed is all done tightening.
